Head of Direct Sales

A rapidly growing FinTech company that offer a range of payment processing solutions including ecommerce acquiring, BIN sponsorship solutions and a prepaid wallet/card is looking to hire a Head of Direct Sales wo work in a ‘player manager’ role. They have made several changes to the leadership team and 1 year ago they hired a new CCO and a great Sales Director and between the two they have had a huge impact on revenues, culture and performance. The team is now up to 160 people and they are expanding aggressively and in line with these growth plans they are looking to hire a Head of Direct Sales.

Responsibilities:

  • Leverage new and existing relationships across verticals including, retail, digital goods, travel, education, government, financial services and more to achieve revenue goals
  • Manage, grow and provide leadership with a team of 5 Business Development Managers
  • Work closely with Director of Global Sales to set the Set the strategy and targets for the sales team
  • Identify, qualify and close sales opportunities and strategic relationships across Europe
  • Provide C-Level with accurate forecasts and business pans
  • Attend and represent the company at business events and exhibitions
  • Maintain CRM records, aggressively close deals and finalise contracts, meet/exceed sales quotas and revenue goals
  • Manage the post sales customer experience, actively introducing customer services and relationship management

Requirements:

  • 8 years + selling complex SaaS or payment solutions in Europe across multiple vertical/sectors
  • 3 years + leadership of a sales team, ideally with the payments space
  • Ideally already known within the industry, with an excellent reputation you will be well placed to focus on both large and medium enterprise merchants and their supporting platforms
  • History of presenting to and negotiating with Executive-level decision makers
  • Proven ability to understand business and technical requirements of integration to a new merchants’ platform
  • Excellent written and oral communication, including formal presentation skills
